Use a supported architectural-asphalt example to understand a replacement budget before discussing your own roof. The 2,000-square-foot roof-surface example is $9,000 to $15,000.

The tool converts a known footprint and pitch into roof surface area, or accepts a known roof measurement. It does not substitute house living area for the roof.

Try a replacement budget example

The Oklahoma City area model supports 1,500 to 3,000 square feet of measured roof surface. Keep the example values if you do not already know your roof measurement.

Keep the 2,000 sq. ft. example, or enter an area you already know. Roof footprint means the area covered, not total living space.

Keep the 6:12 example unless you already know the pitch. Pitch helps check material suitability.

How this planning example works

The model applies $4.50 to $7.50 per square foot of measured roof surface to a supported 1,500 to 3,000-square-foot architectural-asphalt scenario. It uses a retained provider-published Oklahoma City area benchmark rather than a survey of Spencer projects.

The scenario assumes one existing layer, normal access, moderate complexity and usable decking. Extra removal, damaged wood and more difficult detailing or access need their own allowance. A roof footprint is converted using the entered pitch; living floor area is not a roof measurement.

Pitch also checks the basic asphalt-shingle slope limit. Product instructions and the actual roof determine a suitable installation. Other roofing materials and commercial systems need a separate scope.

What changes the calculator result

The calculation applies a regional architectural-asphalt planning range to the measured surface, under the stated assumptions.

Area basis

Known surface area is already the sloped measurement. A footprint needs a pitch conversion; the tool handles that calculation.

Included scenario

One existing layer, normal access, moderate complexity and usable decking. Ordinary tear-off is part of the scenario.

Work priced at the property

Extra removal, damaged decking, difficult access, complex detailing and other systems need their own scope. The model does not invent rates for repairs, metal or commercial membranes.

Roof Cost Calculator FAQs

Why did the calculator stop showing a range?

A surface outside the supported 1,500 to 3,000 square feet is outside this model. Low-slope roofs also need a system-specific discussion. Return to a supported example or contact us about the property.

Is the result a quote?

No. It is a planning example for the stated region and assumptions. A quote depends on the measured roof, condition and agreed work.
